Murate Idea Park (MIP), the project business incubator of the School of Business Sciences and Industrial Technologies "Piero Baldesi" (SSATI), after the success of the first edition, is relaunching the "CALLforCRAFT" call for proposals dedicated to micro and artisan SMEs in the Metropolitan City of Florence.
The call, which opened on April 27, on the occasion of the 87th edition of the MIDA international craft fair, will remain open for applications until Tuesday, June 27, accessible through the MIP website: www.murateideapark.it A special committee will then evaluate the applications received and select the 12 most suitable businesses that from September 2023 will receive free training and mentoring for the duration of 2 months.
Many services will be made available to the winners thanks to the support and collaboration with the partners of the call, who together with Murate Idea Park, strongly wanted to participate in the project of digitalization of Florentine crafts and are: Confartigianato Firenze, CNA Firenze, Artex Centro per l'Artigianato Artistico e Tradizionale della Toscana, Conflavoro PMI Firenze, PID Punto Impresa Digitale, OMA Osservatorio dei Mestieri d'Arte, as well as the training institutes ISIA Firenze and LABA Libera Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze.
100 hours of FREE training on topics such as content marketing, personal branding, public speaking, storytelling, social media management and e-commerce management. As well as individual mentoring sessions on how to create a sales-appropriate product sheet, 3D printing, business internationalization processes, logistics management, blockchain and metaverse and many professional areas.
"Thanks to the variety of technical skills present in the MIP community, formed to date by 98 mentors and trainers, it is possible for us to offer a very wide range of knowledge useful to artisan enterprises both to consolidate even more their online and offline presence and to access other markets and/or products"-this is how the coordinator of the Murate Idea Park business incubator Elena Nanni defines the completeness of the free training and mentoring offered by CALLforCRAFT.
The first call for proposals, which opened during 2021, saw 12 local artisan enterprises as winners, who were given free access to one-to-one training and mentoring.
All this allowed them to discover new technologies and skills, useful for the revitalization of their business and products, as well as connecting the individual businesses with the entire Florentine innovation ecosystem, thus starting synergistic projects and entering new foreign markets.
The 12 artisan enterprises to have benefited from what was made available by the first edition's "CALLforCRAFT" call for proposals are an expression of most of the sectors that characterize Florentine craftsmanship, from leather goods, fashion, and scagliola to gold and silver work, and are: Negar Azhar Azari's NAA-Studio, Federica Tessari Candles, Cecilia Falciai Artistic Decorations, Arfasatti Argento, Ciro Brand's Quoio, Ilaria Tolossi's Essère, F.P. Pelletteria, Il Galeone, Liljia Gioielli, Made in Sipario, Roco Gioielli, and Infinity.
Realities that have been enabled to start their own process of innovation and digitalization.
The candidate projects will undergo an initial evaluation by a specially formed committee (composed of members of the promoting entities and partners) that will proceed to screening, at the end of which the 12 artisan SMEs will be identified.
These will be included in a 100-hour training course divided into six modules:
Marketing Strategy and Branding Marketing
E-Commerce Tools
Public Speaking and Storytelling
Content Creation.
Social Page Management
Parallel to the training, the 12 artisan businesses will be supported by transversal (entrepreneurship experts) and vertical mentors.
Implementation of websites, production of graphic, photographic and audiovisual materials is planned, thanks in part to collaboration with ISIA and LABA students.
