MIDA, the fair that makes excellent craftsmanship shine, opens registration for artisans for the 2024 edition
FLORENCE - Registration is now open for exhibitors at the 88th edition of MIDA, the International Handicrafts Exhibition to be held April 25-May 1, 2024, at the Fortezza da Basso.
The International Handicrafts Exhibition, a fixed and unmissable appointment for many Florentines and tourists visiting the city, has been transforming Florence into the capital of arts and crafts since 1931, creating a meeting place for different cultures with a route that allows visitors to explore the "savoir faire" of Italian regions and countries around the world.
In fact, MIDA, the first certified international craft fair in Italy, hosts each year Italian and foreign masters and new talents, organizing events, installations and educational workshops, in the magnificent 16th-century setting of the Fortezza da Basso, a Renaissance architectural masterpiece built between 1534 and 1537 by order of Alessandro de' Medici, where cultural heritage and innovation give life to unique creations and experiences.
MIDA 2024 is organized by Firenze Fiera in collaboration with the main Craftsmen's Associations CNA and Confartigianato, together with Artex - Center for Artistic and Traditional Craftsmanship of Tuscany and OMA - Osservatorio Mestieri d'Arte.
