Lucrezia Piscopo Art
Lucrezia Piscopo was born in 1992 in Favara, a stone's throw from Agrigento, Sicily, and currently works as an artist and artisan in her home studio in Rome.
From a young age she cultivated a strong artistic sense that she began to follow more decisively from 2020, first working as a painter and successfully participating in several exhibitions and then as a craftswoman, specializing in working with epoxy resin.
In her work the sea is a constant source of inspiration, her first collection of artistic handicrafts - the Wave Collection - in fact, was born after months of study and experimentation precisely in the reproduction of the sea with epoxy resin, a not simple technique that comes from the United States, England and Australia capable of rendering a unique and very realistic effect that requires several tricks, a lot of practice and experience for its execution.
For most of her everyday items, she carefully selects and purchases wooden objects such as trays, cutting boards, coasters or centerpieces, transforming them into unique pieces through resin decoration with which she enriches them with beautiful sea waves. However, for more important items and custom requests, he does not start from purchased items but directly realizes every aspect through collaboration with wood craftsmen, thus resulting in unique objects that are the result of the synergy of several craftsmen.
The technique of working with resin, in both cases, makes each object unique and does not allow the mass reproduction of the sea, which with each creation, will have unique waves, reflections and peculiarities (an aspect that makes the photos of the items for sale, reference images and not exact copies of the final result, which as mentioned always has small differences). For its creations, in the case of tableware items, an epoxy resin certified for food contact is used, while for home decor and furniture items, it uses a non-toxic epoxy resin so as to guarantee its customers maximum safety.
