Made entirely by hand from textured ceramic stoneware with coarse chamotte, each piece comes from patient craftsmanship combining the ancient techniques of slab and columbine.
The surface is deliberately left partly rough, to enhance the authentic, textural character, while the details are brush-painted with unique beech ash-based glazes, giving mottling and shading in shades of dark green and satin white.
Fired twice in an electric kiln, with the second firing at 1270°, the work gains solidity and strength while maintaining a delicate soul.
