We are getting close to HOMI Milano 2019, the Lifestyles Fair of Fiera Milano Spa which will be back from 25 to 28 January.
An edition that promises to be full of novelty, with an even wider and transversal product proposal for all tastes, as always. HOMI, as you know, is a place where creativity reigns supreme, shaping traditional and innovative materials and creating infinite combinations of shapes and colors; a constantly evolving mosaic that – every year and every minute – changes its structure according to what people are looking for. A unique event, able to highlight the new trends and push the change of lifestyles internationally.
Modern society, always more and more atomized, pushes each of us to live our lives in a totally personal way, making us the real and unique protagonists of our lifestyle. In such a context, we are what we wear and use every day. Our house furniture in particular represents our important freedom of expression, to define our identity. It is no coincidence that HOMI dedicates a large Satellite precisely to intercept and propose the best solutions for this market.
Not just products but different ideas, projects, styles and cultures, in an always new and different meeting that can help the operators to identify the trends for the next season. The objects become words of a story that is always different, that winds between the rooms and the contexts of use, between the shapes and the colors, because, as the CasaDoxa observatory demonstrates, the house is the undisputed protagonist of the consumption choices.
From the studies of the prestigious Italian institute of research and statistical surveys DOXA, which investigates at 360 degrees the theme of living, interviewing more than 6000 Italians annually, it emerges that the house desired by Italians is an increasingly dynamic place, which alongside the traditional functions welcomes new activities and generates new housing practices. The arrangement of domestic spaces will therefore have to follow and adapt to this transformation, which imposes different uses and gives space to new objects and habits.
The offer that operators from all over the world will meet at HOMI will be represented by established companies but also by many new start-ups and young designers, protagonists of spaces dedicated to experimentation and research, such as Creazioni and Sperimenta that propose innovative and interesting objects reinterpretations. Besides, the observatory on HOMI trends will be enriched in January thanks to the contribution of WGSN, global leader in analysis and forecasts of the market trend and the consumer who will show the trends for objects and accessories in the coming seasons, thanks to Polidesign projects that will put the theme of new materials at the center.
HOMI, a place of trends but also a moment of business: it will offer companies the opportunity to meet Italian operators and a wide audience of highly profiled international buyers, also thanks to the collaboration with ICE, in a wide geographical area that involves all the continents . Many countries involved including France, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Russia, South Africa, China, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam.
As usual, in January HOMI hosts Festivity, the exhibition dedicated to the items for holidays and special occasions, from Christmas, with nativity art and traditional decorations, to articles for every kind of celebration. To make the business more profitable and to make operators’ presence as easy as possible, Festivity will open on January 23, two days before the opening of HOMI, and will close on January 27, one day in advance on the other sectors of the event.
At HOMI there will also be space for training and comparison: talks and worskhop will offer ideas and new opportunities to enhance operators’ business and find new ideas for growth. We will also be presento among these as Madeinitalyfor.me, on Monday, January 28, with a talk on the dynamics of online sales, from promotion to delivery to the final customer.
