The event dedicated to home decor is back in attendance, which restarts at fieramilano at the same time as the supersalone, the special event of the 2021 Salone del Mobile
HOMI, The Salon of Lifestyles, an event entirely dedicated to the world of living and home decoration, starts with an edition again in attendance scheduled at fieramilano (Rho) from 5 to 8 September. Design objects, Italian and international craftsmanship, fragrances and textiles for the home, accessories for the table and the kitchen, up to the gift and promotional offer: the home and decoration world with its vitality, grown in these, at the center of the exhibition offer months that saw the world of living gaining everyone’s attention, with the house also becoming a school, an office, a place to meet.
The world trade of the HOME sector (data from Export Planning and forecasts based on the World Economic Outlook of the International Monetary Fund) outline a positive scenario, where the estimate for the next three years – in the household items sector – sees a steady recovery to + 5.7% for world trade and + 3.5% for Italian exports. The first quarter of 2021 has already highlighted a strong recovery in world trade in the various segments of the HOME sector: almost all segments have largely recovered levels of world trade higher than those of 2019 as well.
The event is thus a symbol and witness of a varied Italian and foreign production that tells us how the trends in living and the changing needs of consumers are changing, as well as the renewed lifestyles to which the pandemic has led. Unique objects, sustainable projects, but also modernity and functionality. Space for new shapes and geometries, the use of materials that are inextricably linked with the territory from which they come, but revisited and re-proposed with that touch of innovation that will allow operators to discover unusual and unpublished objects.
MORE THAN 300 BRANDS FROM 22 COUNTRIES: MANY NEWS AND SPECIAL INITIATIVES
Many innovations presented in preview at this restart edition, which sees protagonists more than 300 brands, 30% foreign, from European countries such as France, Germany, Belgium and Sweden and important worldwide poles such as Korea and Indonesia. The Italian presence, on the other hand, sees Lombardy, Tuscany, Puglia, Veneto and Piedmont among the most representative regions.
On display unique objects, from furnishing accessories to fully customizable decorations, to plant paintings to furnish any space with personality, exploiting the harmony of nature in all its shapes and colors, but also productions with a high symbolic or technological content. New table lamps with portable and rechargeable battery and touch control, vases with innovative shapes and designs, made entirely of plastic following projects oriented towards the ethics of the circular economy or furnishings in extra-resistant, 100% recyclable cardboard. There are many innovations related to the kitchen and the collections for the table, elegant and refined, in pastel colors, with golden decorations or which express joy and lightheartedness thanks to unique and colorful patterns.
But also more everyday objects such as the folding helmet to support better and more comfortable, the micro mobility or the wireless fast charger equipped with sterilizer with UV ray system and ozone diffuser or the unique 3D miniatures of the most famous cities of the world, the result of a combination of innovative production techniques with high-precision hand-processed data, which allow you to explore and recreate the emotions of your favorite city at home. Among the special initiatives areas of this edition, the room of ideas, which enhances particularly innovative products, the result of revolutionary solutions and easy to apply, and Ki-Life, an event space dedicated to the theme of sustainability, which will tell a new eco shopping experience. -sustainable, focusing on issues of growing importance for the future of people, society and companies.
The four-handed collaboration signed by Cuoio di Toscana e Fabio Novembre, on the other hand, will give life to the Love console, an icon of Driade, magazine for the occasion in pure leather. Made in Italy, craftsmanship and a green soul, a unique piece that will be an exceptional protagonist at HOMI, to pay homage to the values promoted by the edition of the fair. And again, the presence of PTE Special Edition, the event dedicated to the world of advertising objects, promotional textiles and technologies for personalization, which HOMI hosts on 7 and 8 September, creates new business opportunities for visiting operators. An edition dedicated to sustainability, which sees 60 brands in the sector as protagonists. The offer of the event is completed by a wide calendar of workshops and talks, diversified for the various target operators, which offer a cross-section of market trends, ideas and suggestions.
